Do the tops on the new 06 and 07 come down just like the tops on the 04? My 04 is very easy to put down is it the same as the 06? I don't really want the power top.
It really easier on a 06 than an 04. You only have one lever in the front to release and there is a little more clearance to slide the roof past the cover in the rear. For 07 doesn't the power top come in the 3LT package ? So you will no longer be able to get a manual top with the 3LT

True. - One of the reasons I bought the EOY 2006 instead of a BOY 2007 - I did not want the added weight, complexity and expense of a power top. I'm old - but not too old to drop the top myself!
I'm not sure what you have against the power top but I can recommend it highly. If it's a matter of expense, bear in mind that it is a desirable option that will retain some value on resale. But if it'll stretch your budget too much, or if you just don't think "true sports cars" should have a power top, do the manual top. Whatever floats your boat.
i had an 02 vert which is probably the same as the 04 the c6 manuel top is the same and just as easy twist the handle on the top fold the back up release the top hatch by pushing the button under the rear hatch, fold the top back close the top takes about 2 minutes no muss no fuss
Anyone else with the power top notice a lot of "fold marks" on the top? I have.......and I have never left the top in the folded position for more than a couple of hours at a shot. I notice the guys with the manual top don't seem to have the problem
Hi,
I had a 99-C5 Vert and just picked up my 06 C6 The top is a little easier to put up and down with the single lever vs the double lever of the C5. What I was surprised by is less trunk room in the C6. In the C5 there was extra space in compartment in the center of the trunk, which is non-existant in the C6.

I waited for months for the beige top and have noticed the same thing. I also never leave my top down for extended periods and never overnight even in the garage.

Beige shows those lines real fast, thats your problem Black is the best color for fewer top problems. Have had a lot of Black top Verts, this includes non Vettes.
I leave my Black top down for weeks at a time (garaged) no problems. I do 90% of my driving top down. I did the same thing with my 98 Vert ((had it 7 years) Got top dollar when I got rid of it
I orginally wanted the manual top (save the $ and thought it was way to easy to automate)...but the car I found had the power top...and I gotta say, I love it. Nice to not have to get out to put the top up at a light if it starts to rain (I live in Seattle...duh).

I'm with you. If your license plate 67 UNC represents a year of college graduation, then I am just one year younger, and very happy with the manual convertible top, even at our "advanced experience levels". Any option that is not on the car, can't break.

The gray show it's tan lines as well. A friend has a gray top and it has the ugliest lines where it folds.
