Got mine today, but I think it is bogus for my 427. During a dry fit, the part where the tape is will not fit flat on the underside of the bumper because the lower part of the plate holder hits the lower part of the bumper. To me, it looks like the angle at the top of the bracket should be bigger (less than 90 degrees now), or the plate holder is too tall. If you have one of these, does the lower part rest against the bumper?
Bummer.

Just curious - is there no Q.C. done on these?

I'm away and don't have it with me, but I recall that the front edge is slightly rounded to match the contour of the bumper, not straight, so I am not sure how well opening the angle will work. Seems it would cause the center to bulge on the top.
Just curious - is there no Q.C. done on these?

I finally got my Top Flight license bracket installed on my 427. If you must have a front plate, I don't think you can beat this.
Some thoughts:
- The angle between the top and front of the bracket was a bit tight for my 427 bumper, so I opened it some by gently pressing down on the joint (photo). You want to make sure that the flat top of the bracket fits flat against the mounting plate that you install underneath the bumper. If the bracket angle is too small, the bottom of the bracket will hit the bottom part of the bumper before the top is far enough in, causing the top to meet the mounting plate at an angle rather than flat.
- I elongated the holes in the bracket where it attaches to the mounting plate (photo). This gave me some working room to slide the bracket in and out after the mounting plate had been mounted.
- I added star washers under the wing nuts to help hold them tight since I removed some material around the holes. I'll have to come up with a better choice, as getting those small star washers installed is a pain.
- I suggest doing a dry fit with your license plate installed on the bracket. The curve of the bracket is a bit tighter than the curve of the bumper. If the bracket is too far in, the ends of the plate will be up against the bumper. Some foam padding is included to deal with this at the top, but the bottom may have the same issue. This dry fit is even more important if you will be using a frame on your plate. The frame makes the whole assembly even wider, and you want to check the end clearances.
A big "thanks" to the folks at Top Flight for their help during my learning process.

Reliable just delivered my C6 last Tuesday and the first accessory I bought was the removable bracket and color matched frame. It showed up fast, smartly packaged, and the quality is great. I plan to install it this weekend.

Typ the GM mount is attached with three round adhesives pads on the back side however some dealers have actualy screwed these on. To determine what method of attachment you have, remove your license plate from the GM mount. If you do not see any screws you're in luck What you should see are three circular depressions. This is where the adhesive pads are located on the back side. You can heat these locations with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive and then pull up the bracket slowly. You can also use dental floss to cut thru the adhesive using a sawing motion. The GM brackets come off faily easily. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

I ordered a TFR removable front license plate bracket for my 2009. Although I have almost zero skills at handyman-type stuff, I had no problems installing the bracket. It looks fantastic.
For anyone on the fence about ordering a bracket, I recommend this product highly.

What about blocking air flow to the radiator? Would it be a problem (or even noticeable) in the northeast where it rarely gets above 90?
Also: Do you have to bend (or bow) the license plate to fit the bumper?

I haven't noticed any increase in temp, so the blockage appears to be minimal.
Regarding having to bend (or bow), it fit fine. The only thing you bend is the license plate (slightly) when you screw it onto the bracket.
