I'm starting to see a vicious trend here. Hope these are isolated cases, as the rest of us may be in for some painful reality in the near future. Good luck 6speed on a speedy resolution.
My '06 goes in next Wednesday morning. I have both sides set at 63 degrees but cold air only on the passenger side. Hot air on driver's side. The first thing the tech told me today was that he thought it was a problem with the "door." I had no clue what he was referring to but he said he had seen it before. I wonder if it effects the heater too not that I need it now, just curious.
Well Picked up the car today after amost three weeks in the shop. Got to speak to the tech. He said he was in touch with GM tech line three times and replace everything they advised. Funny after the first call and no results he asked them if it could be a problem with the diverter door itself. They said NO! we have no problem with them. Well the service manager got in touch with an engineer in Kentucky and he told the tech to pull the dash and check the door itself. He told them he suggested it last week!! Well the door was broken it took three days to get the part and a two days to finish. I get to the dealer and my car is sitting in the service drive. Dash looked like it was never touched, no sqeaks or rattles, They washed, waxed ,shampooed the carpets and mats, filled it with gas and thanked me for my patiences!!!
A really great dealer experience
