Today I removed my sway bar links from my '05 checking to see where a noise was coming from and noticed this
I know the car is not 100% USA, but I didn't think the end links are Japanese.

That explains why some C6 owners have more problems than others... everything in the bolded areas is dependent on the attitude the workers have towards America the day your car was built...mine must have been built on a day when everyone loved America as I have had only two problems in 19+k miles.
Interesting to see where all the pieces-parts come from. The C6 is still a winner, albeit and International one! Like was said, "Assembled in America."

This has been covered ad-nauseum. The car is assembled in America and we should be thankful for this. Welcome to the global economy and the dilemma with our "gallon of milk" mentality (meaning we don't want to pay anymore for a gallon of milk this year than we did last year.) Our continued quest for more and willingness to pay less is driving all manufacturing to seek other ways of cutting costs.

Which wheels or wheel components are made in Italy or Japan? Are we counting the TPS transmitters?
My painted wheels have "USA" cast on the inside face of one of the spokes. A while ago, there was talk that wheel production would switch to China following the Amcast bankruptcy. Does anybody know the status of that?
Don't know yet. I installed Z51 sway bars and kept the original links. I get a squeaking noise from the rear suspension somewhere and was thinking the links, but after removing them it is still there. I guess it's time to take it to a dealer. Kevin
