Default Corvette Problems

I am wanting to purchase a used C6 and keep hearing about roofs flying off crankbolt issues and etc are alot of drivers seeing issues with their C6's or are these just few and far between. It really makes me mad that GM can't figure this stuff out ahead of time.Input would be appreciated.

Aside from the roof issue mine has been outstanding. No problems at all. Forums always bring out all of the problems. That's the nature of us humans. Complain if we have a problem. Otherwise we keep quiet.

The top issue is a widespread problem but the crank bolt is limited to a serial number range. You can check the VIN with any Chevy service dept. to see if the car you are considering is included and if the work has been performed. While the C6 has had difficulties, they are not as bad as might be implied by posts on this forum. People tend to complain about problems to inform other forum members rather than elaborate on positive experiences with their Corvettes. Overall, the C6 has proven to be a solid, well built, and reliable vehicle. I have owned my '05 for a year and have had no warranty issues to date.

Heresay is a dangerous way to develop opinions.

You should pursue facts, or even better, buy a Corvette and live the enjoyable experience.

Very difficult to park can't see front end or rear. Can't angle park in one space like I can on other car to protect from door dings.

If you don't want any problems, make sure you get a silver one.

Why silver? because it is a very common color like the rest of the majority of cars are silver so that makes your car blend into the crowd.
