I should be made fun of for this question…but I have to ask anyway.
I have a 06 6sp…which I thought was a base model
One of my guy friends told me my car has the z-51 performance package…my Dad got this car for me (I paid for it, he did the dealing with the dealer – didn’t want to sound like a spoiled little daddies girl).
I didn’t think the car had the performance package, but my friend says that “competitive driving mode” is for this package only? I have a feeling he’s wrong, and would greatly appreciate any info on how I might find out what options I have.

Thanks!
Check your brakes. If there are "big holes" all around them, then you have the Z51 package.
Do you have the window sticker? That will tell you all your options. Take a look at your brake rotors. If they have holes and slots in them you have the Z51 package. All the models have the various driving modes you mentioned.
I think the only true way we can tell if you have the performance package is to post pictures of yourself. Then..... as a concerned group of corvette owners, we can give you a collective answer.
I'll point out that it is important that you know if it's got Z51 or not, since Z51 C6s require more oil at an oil change than non-Z51-equipped cars (more oil to fill the unique oil cooler I guess).
If I were you I'd want to make sure anyone who changes my oil gets the specs on the right version of the C6.

Many dealers won't save the window stickers unless you ask for it. Another method is to check the inside of the glove box door...On the left hand side of the glove box door, there is a label that tells you the equipment installed on the vehicle.
It should be pretty self-evident from holes in the brake rotors if you have Z51, but other equipment will be shown on the label. You won't recogize most of the alphanumerical character sets, but you may know some of them.
The question has been answered, but to clarify - all 2006's are "six speeds". The automatic and manual transmissions both have six forward gears and one reverse. We are all going to have to re-learn what we call them.
By the way, your profile shows "1990" as year and model. Is that you or your car?
