Well, it's no Bentley or Ferrari, but it's definitely respectable. Far better than the C5's was - THAT was cheap.
FYI, Most of the seating surfaces in the C6 are Vinyl not leather. Note on the window sticker is states "Leather Trimmed" seats. What they really mean is Vinyl seats with leather trim. They can't say leather seats because the content is more vinyl than leather

That does it - I am returning the car! I cannot believe those guys have pulled the wool over my eyes and given me cheapo vinyl seats. Somehow they even managed to make all of the seating surfaces in mine wear like leather, feel like leather and even smell like leather! Here I thought the vinyl part was the stuff on the back and non-seating areas of the seats. That must be leather that they actually made look, feel and smell like vinyl. Next thing you know, that fake leather is gonna come unglued and fly out of the car!
I can tell you, i havent seen Vette leather but I doubt its as nice as Infinitis..
Jayelleseven weren't you on the 6MT forums? I think you had the same name back when I had my G35 and was G35 MoneyPit...the G is gone and now I have the C...are you getting one?
Yea, ignore my last post. I was all set to take it back to the dealer and then checked my window sticker - "Leather Seating Surfaces". Maybe he got one of those cheap wanna-be-vette things like a Ferrari or Lambo?
What that means is the "seating surface" the part your A$$ touches are leather the bolsters upper and seat back are genuine vinyl! Its all a play on words.

Which window sticker are we talking about - the one that says "Leather seating surfaces" or "Leather trimmed"?
Regardless, the only vinyl I'm finding on my "Leather Seating Surfaces" are not on the seating surfaces - including those my back is against. I'll concede that I'm not sure about the middle of the seat where there are perforations for the heated seats. But the lower, side bolsters and area above that are either leather or specially treated to smell that way. Then again, them body panels on my car are the cheapest metal I've ever seen - almost like they are plastic or somethin!

The easiest way to check for what parts are leather is to press your finger into a given area of the seat if you see fine creases while you pinch it down its leather. If it still looks smooth its vinyl.

Well, I gotta hand it to ya - your test pretty much does indicate that the entire seat back is vinyl!
While I normally HATE admitting I'm wrong, this is actually good news! Now I have another reason to add more stuff to the car. Time to hit that DownSouthVettes web site!

So wrong! Chevy managed to put poor quality leather into the C6 in enough quantity to beat the adverting requirements. Sad but true...
Judging a car by it's leather? Nicest leather my buttocks was ever esconsed in was a Jag; buttery, comfortable and the smell was....but as a car? Well, you know.............
