Default DIC Options?

What do most people here leave their DIC display to read? Fuel economy? Odometer? Tire pressure? Ect? I am still new to the car and keep flipping it around and can't decide what I want to leave it on as daily driving? I know, I know! What a silly problem to have!

I leave it on oil temperature, I then have a better idea of the warm-up state. This time of year, it starts at 100 and something in the morning!

I leave it blank. Once in a while I'll take a look at mileage & odometer. Most of the time I am content to know that I have a DIC, and don't need to look at it.

Believe it or not, we have been hitting in the 90's everyday up here (Minnesota) for the last few days.

What are the normal temp ranges you see? Have you had any problems with oil temp on really hot days?

Oil Temp. It's the only engine diagnostic not on the gauges Plus it is a more accurate indication of how warm your motor is than coolant temp plus I can see when it is warmed up so I can put my right foot into it.

Same here, I leave mine blank all the time as well checking only the oil/coolant/trans temps, tire pressures and maybe some fuel economy info from time to time (I don't want to know odometer readings, don't want to see how many miles I'm piling on LOL ).
It's not always good to have too many options on your DIC, it's just not that safe to play with your DIC while you're driving either.

usually on instant gas mileage - when I'm in town.
that way when I look down and it says "13 mpg" I know I should be upshifting. Still impresses me how much torque this car has - that it runs great in any gear at 1000 rpms...

I use the odometer (trip). But I flip it from time to time (my wife hates it when I play around with the buttons).
I like the tire pressure, just because I think it's fun to have it.

Most of the time I flip between odometer (trip) and range (occasionnaly check on the gas mileage.

I think the oil temperature is cool too. I've never really used it, but it will look like I know a lot about engines (which I don't). And true, it's a good indication if the engine is ready or not for some action (I know I am).

By the way, congrats on your new ride . I'm sure you'll enjoy it, it's the best car I've ever driven so far

I'll keep the coolant temp displayed except for startup when oil temp is shown.

Most of the time, I cycle thru tire pressures after startup...then switch to instant mpg.

I leave the Oil temp up on the 2D "hologram" in front of me as I drive.

I always leave it on Oil Temp. I think that this reading would give me a heads up on any engine problem first.

Blank, most of the time unless something I want to keep on a close watch.

I do run by all displays I want to keep track of about every 1/2 hour or so, as I really like lisitening to the cherps as I a hit the buttons. (NOT )

I leave the DIC blank and keep oil temperature on the HU display.

I, too, like knowing I have the DIC, but not use it.
