Ok,now I'm p....d! Three times last night,I'm out for a little cruise in my C6,I wave to 3 other c6's in plain view and get zippidy! From my observations our C 6's have brought more than a few "johhny come lately's' to the scene with no concept of what their driving, and the courtesy and lore that comes with it. All of us who treasure the "Stingray" in "Deadmans Curve, etc",are a unique group. My feeling is,if you're not gonna wave,or worse yet ,wave as if you're doing me a favor, trade it in on a Porsche, what the h..ll do you know.
Don't worry about it. Just keep waving, for every one that waves back it more than makes up for the ten that don't. Just so you know I was out driving the other night and saw 1 C6 and 2 C5s. The C6 waved back but the C5'ers just turned their head...... Anyway here's a big
I think it's human nature. Some wave and some don't. Same thing used to happen when I rode my motorcycle.
I was recently surprised to find out that Jeep Rubicon owners wave. I was with my son in his Jeep, and most everytime we passed another Jeep similar in body style to the Rubicon, they waved!

I have a Jeep. I will say, the wave return rate is much higher among the Jeeps guys as compared to the Vette guys.
I have noticed that some wave and some don't. I will admit there have been times when another vette owner waved at me and I couldn't wave back because I was in the process of shifting (I have a 6 speed) and both my hands were tied up. My the time the I shifted the other vette was gone. So sometimes if another vette driver doesn't wave back it may be because he is in the middle of a shift.

I have a c6 also, and ive only missed 2 waves total of everyone thats waved to ME. one time iwas turing, and the other hand was holding my cell, so i couldnt wave, and theo ther, my g/f saw the vette, but i didnt as it was blocked by another car (sorry), BUT ive waived to numerous vettes and not gotten waves back, all years, barely got a wave out of a 62 theo ther day. he justlooked at me, then waved.....wtf? been not waved back by a couple c4's, 2 c3's......i think with the c6 commin out and more ppl being able to afford older vettes, its a bad thing.... too many ppl get them just to have one, than to be a true enthusiast....
I drive a C5Z06 myself but I always try to wave to all year models regardless. I'd say I get a return about 60 to 70 percent of the time. What you say about the rubicons is true. A friend of mine has one modded up for heavy off road use and everytime he drives by another one waves abound. I don't know about anyone else but I fully intend to keep up the tradition of the vette wave even if some people dont
I know it's a crushing realization that some Corvette owners just don't wave but I wouldn't let their ignorance, arrogance or lack of tradition deter you from waving in the future.
Assuming those that you saw did not have a 'legitimate' excuse (such as just not seeing you, shifting gears, using their cell phone or having had their arm amputated) don't worry about it....to those people consider it a 'Goodbye Wave.'
What?! It's time for another "No Wave" thread again?! Boy, time really flies when you're having fun. I thought it was just yesterday we had one of these. Well, if this one doesn't get enough comments, here are some others.

I know some members think this is childish, to some degree they may be right, but as one who's owned a Corvette in the past - it does seem the wave is less frequent. I used to own several motorcycles and the wave was something that brought a great sense of comradery when out on the road.
It's not the end of the world... but it can embarass when you have someone in the car and you get totally stiffed by another vette owner.
Oh well, I'll continue my wave anyway...looking quite the fool.

I would say in Indiana the return wave rate from all Corvettes is at least 90%.
Don't know what part in Indiana your from (haven't checked your profile) but here in Lafayette the percentage rate is something more like 10%. Might be because it’s a college town.
