Dark reds
I have always liked the 2003 anniversary red with the shale interior. Does anyone have any comparison photos or descriptions of a comparison with a C6 Monterey Red with gray or cashmere interior?

I have a Monty Red '06 with black interior. I had both a '00 Magnetic Red coupe and '06 Monterey Red couple in the garage at the same time and the Monty Red was darker. I thought that the Monty Red was closer to the Mag Red in the sun but maybe closer to the Anniversay edition in the shade. Another friend thinks that it's closer to the Anniversary at any time. But my feeling has always been that the Anniversary had sort of a slight purple to it and that's why I felt that the Monty was closer to Mag Red.
If you like the Anniversary edition I think that you'll be happy with the Monterey Red. Of course I guess you don't really have a choice if you consider the only colors available.
I almost got the gray interior but decided in the end that I liked the black better. I think part of it had to do with what would be a three-color interior with the gray, black, and interior color on the steering wheel, console, and other interior parts. But I think there are quite a few Monty Reds out there with the cashmere interior.
Most of it's just personal choice. They all look pretty nice.

At one time, I think there was a photo showing monterey, victory, magnetic and anniversary all next to each other on panited panels. You could also try corvetteconti.com. I think he posted the original pix.

Here's the best I can do at the moment. These are photos of the two reds taken literally seconds apart as I worked down a line of our clubs cars at a cruise. These are both colors that photographs do not do justice to but at least these are the same lighting conditions in the same area so even shadows should be consitent. Hope it helps. I've also added a 2005 Mag red down the bottom for comparison.

I don't have any comparison photos but I have a Magnetic Red Metallic II C6 with the Cashmere interior. Although Mag red sparkles like candy apple red in the sunshine, sometimes Mag red can look quite similar to Monterey red. IMHO Monterey red with a cashmere interior will look great!
Food for thought....I think Gov's Guy recently posted photos of his new Monterey red C6 with the two-tone seats....black with the cashmere insets. It looked great!
