I have now turned ten thousand miles on my 2006 A6 3LT F55 Coupe. For what it's worth, here are my observations:

Issues:

1. Had transparant top rattle. Fixed per TSB. This was so minor an issue I hesitate to even mention it. Took my dealer 30 minutes to fix.

2. Just had rear end fluids replaced per TSB. Hopfully no more shudder. Again, no big deal.

3. I have had DBS twice. First time battery replaced. Second time, cause unknown. Have installed a Priority Start. I do consider this to be an on going issue of concern.

Impressions.

Regardless of number 3 above, this car has been an absolute delight. 31 mpg on highway if I behave myself. Comfortable on trips, great performance. Also, a huge amount of pride in ownership.

This car is a daily driver for me, and even after 10,000 miles, the "thrill" is still there every day I get behind the wheel. Only mods are Z06 sway bars. Best driving experience, HPDE at Putnam track with the NCM. On a scale of 1 to 10, this car gets a 9.5.

To those who read these posts and are thinkng about buying a Vette, do not be taken aback by what some of us post as "issues". When I say these are minor things, I really mean minor, both in terms of time and aggravation. My dealer treats me like a king, and no, I did not buy it from them. Instead I bought from a forum dealer with Museum delivery. Overall, to say the lesst, I am one very happy camper.

Glad the car is working well for you! I'm close to 10,000 miles myself and no problems yet.

Thanks for sharing your observations....good post! If a casual observer looked at this forum, he/she would likely go-away with the conclusion that the C6 is a problem-ridden car not worth purchasing.

I realize there's more motivation and need to write about problems experieneced but it's refreshing to read a well-balanced post that also mentions the positive aspects of C6 ownership.

I'll second Wayne O's remarks. My '05 AW coupe is still problem free.
