Default under hood light

After taking my 2006 C6 to the dealer to resolve DBS problems (they replaced a bad battery) I noticed the under hood light doesn't work. I looked at the bulb and it appears to be ok. I am wondering if the dealer unplugged the light when they were working on it. Does any one know where this connection is located. I looked at the wiring and it goes into an inner panel.

Thanks

I believe the factory was shipping the lights disconnected at one point in time........

They stopped shipping 06's with the underhood light plugged in. I think it was because some cars were arriving at the dealer with a dead battery.

They even placed a big yellow plastic piece of tape on the plug as a reminder to the dealer to make the connection during the PDI.

I was shown this during my NCM delivery and asked if I wanted the light connected. I said no.

So it appears the dealer did a poor PDI. It's a simple snap connection.

Had the same thing when I brought my car in for the 2ed DBS problem. Yes they unplugged it. They said just to guarantie that was not part of the problem, and just forgot to replug it. OK I can live with that. The plug in part is hard to find, but hunt arround under the hood. Or just go back to the dealer if their close, only takes a minuit to fix.

The light worked before I took it to the dealer. Does any one know where the connector is located?

Thanks

on the passenger side down at the bottom of radiator. you may have to reach down there and fish it out but it'll be there.
