Default Lambo Door Conversion

Has anyone installed this kit, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVY...ayphotohosting or had one like it installed. I am thinking of doing a lambo door conversion on my C6 Vert, But I would like to find some members who have had this done to see what they think of it. Funny thing is its my wife who wants this mod I'm into the performance she wants the car to stand out. Boy I have a great wife!

Why would anybody do this. Several members have done it and are not happy. Some body mods are necessary. One member talked about leaks and poor fit.

Do a search for Lambo Doors. I'm sure it will come up. Had a lot of threads about this a year or so back, but as far as I can remember only a handfull of guys did it. Seems like it would only be useful for cramped garage space.

I had a Murci a few years back. Hit my head quite a few times.

Good luck,

Steve

Since you are asking for experience and not opinions, I'll pass on this thread.

Thanks for the opinions, I did do a search on the forum for Lambo Doors as Steve suggested. I pulled up a thread that ask for everyones opinions on this mod and they got about the same result that I got here some people like it and a lot more don't. I happen to like and and the wife sure does, but everyone has their opinion. I don't happen to like 22 inch rims on a vette but some guys have done it, that was teir choice. I am just trying to find people out there who have done it to find out how it worked out and how strong the components are. However I do like a good discusion so if you want to tell me you don't like lambo doors feel free, but if you do know anyone that has them and could put me in contact with them it would be appreciated.

IMO - Unique and different is good!!! I would talk to some custom shops in your area that have installed the Lambo doors on Vettes or other cars to get some feedback. Some of my friends with G35 and 350Z really like them. If I were you, I would pay for the best designed kit on the market.

Like what?

To me (jmho) that is the biggest head turner with the car parked there could be.

And I agree people will either love or hate this, I think it stems from their childhood.

You went from a Murcielago to a Corvette? I love the Vette and all, but what the hell happened? Talk about a downgrade!
