The only 2 opinions that matter are your wife's opinion and your own. If you and your wife like the idea of these doors I say do it. It doesn't matter what the rest of us think about it.
However, as already mentioned I would certainly take the time to do some further research & buy the best kit out there. It will cost more but you definitely want it to work properly. Buyer beware!

I've had many cars over the years. There's always room for a vette in the garage. The vette has shared space in the garage with lambos, ferraris, bentleys, porsches, etc. currently it's sharing space with a BMW 650 Vert, and an 06 Range Rover, Land Rover.
Two observations: It looks like it would be difficult to open the doors from inside the car and it also looks like the doors would hit the ceiling in the garage.
Well my friend did it on his 350Z, and his brother did it on his F250( yea, i know) and they are both having problems with it. The doors dont seal right, they dont align very well, the inner door panels rub, and you have to give every new passenger a class on getting in and out.
they look awesome but beware. I was reading an autoweek article on a customization shop (GAS, from Galpin dealerships in socal). It said they would do any mod on any new car except lambo doors, as they are not crash worthy and don't meet fed. safety standards. For a show only car, they would be great, but not for a daily driver, imo.
Unless someone comes forward that has done the lambo door conversion, I concur it's best to check with shops that do this....they could provide references. Good luck! Some food for thought below:
