I didn't see that any of this is really necessary. The unit itself is heavy and will not move. Plus there's a front lip that hangs over the bulkhead area behind the seats to keep it in place.
I'm really happy I bought it. For me it is a very handy accessory.

I skipped all the mounting hardware too.
