Has anyone installed the heated seat assembly in a 1LT?
I have recently started shopping for a C6 coupe manual trans. I am really not interested in any of the extras in the $$$ 3LT package other than the heated seats. To answer a few questions ahead of time: this as-of-yet-unpurchased car will be no garage queen. While she will likely see no snow days, the cold temps will not keep her off the street. Also, after much discussion, it seems that one feature in a car that the woman cannot live without is the heated seat that she enjoys so much in my current krautmobile. And if there is any tush I want to keep comfortable, it is definitely hers.
There are aftermarket heated seats, even GM approved products, that are available for C5 'vettes, but I figured that the factory goods would probably fit the bill most reliably, in addition to possibly being a simple plug-n-play. (While not being ASE certified, I'm handy enough in the garage.)
Has anyone here attempted this? Is a call to Fred Beans in order?
