Now this is where the probs start
1. wcc had no tires in stock,so I ordered my own continetal 305/25/20
and 275 30 19,just what paul called for.
Wow, those are big tires. I have recently installed Weld Evo's 19/20 and ended up with 265/30/19 and 285/35/20. My rims are 9.5 front and 10.5 rear. They had to be super careful because the tire press. sensor sits about 1/4" above the rim. However, the rears are right on the money for outside diameter and rev/mile with the factory specs, so my speedometer won't change, and the fronts are a little smaller than stock. Some have suggested that if your tires are too far off from factory that it screws up the electronics. Maybe what you need is a smaller tire.
I would recommend that you contact Ben from Wheels Boutique at 866-519-4335.
I am about to buy a set of HRE 547R they are 19 x 9.5 in front and 20 x 11 in the rear they are going on the sam size tires - Front 275 x 30 x 19 and the rear 305 x 25 x 20. They sell this package all day long and they have the sensors already mounted and balanced and will be shipped to my door. I was given there name and number by Guy Atherton with HRE Performance Wheels. It will work and will fit under your ride and will not cause any problems with your computer.
the only thing is I went to 4 shops total and they all told me the same thing, I think i going to get ahold of wcc paul and take him with me to a tire shop befor i spend 300 on shipping
Since WCC knows exactly how to mount these tires and rims I suggest this.... Find a local tire place you like and have Paul speak directly with the owner or tech guy there. I did that with my CCW's and they explained to my tire shop exactly how to mount my tires on their rims. No problem after that....... if Paul can't explain how to do it to your local guy who can? Just a suggestion.......
Too bad you weren't going to Carlisle because WCC is there and have the tire mounting machine there also. You could of had Big Paul or someoen from WCC mount them there for you.
I met with TNA "Tyrone" last night to look at the wheels myself, first off the wheels looked awesome. probably the best looking forged wheels I have seen to date. BUT, the other thing that Tyrone did not bring up is that the rears 20x10.5 and stuck out atleast 3/4 to 1" past the fenders. Wayyyyy too much for a "custom fit" forged wheel. I talked to JT and Paul and they said these were already pre selected offsets from the distributer in order to get a discounted price. I don't know who was the one who decided to go with that offset, but I know I would be pissed as hell to spend FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS for wheels that don't fit. To me it is like they just sent him a set of wheels without ever checking them out themselves. The wheels sensors don't fit and the rears stick out too far. I personally would send them back until they got it right.
