I would go to Spring Mountain. Don't know anyplace else where you can drive a Z06 and feel just what it is you're going to buy.

It sounds like your wife is well-intentioned and far be it from me to give anyone else advice on how to live their lives. You must have a formula for success as a couple.
For me, I don't respond well to conditions or ultimatums....even from my wife.
I hope your driving school is a 'performance' driving school...that will be fun and worthwhile. Enjoy your Z06 and be sure to thank your wife. She sounds like a 'keeper.'

As pointed out by another poster, Spring Mountain would be ideal because of the availability of their C6 Z06 Corvettes. However, if you are going to go that far away, you might want to consider Bondurant if you want to take your wife. There is a very nice resort, Wild Horse Pass as I recall, within a long walking distance/short auto ride where your wife can entertain herself during the day while you are playing with Bondurant's cars. The resort is selfcontained and includes restaurants, including one very nice one. Bondurant is located near Phoenix, so you probably don't want to go while summer is still hanging on. Btw, I'm 63 and went because I did not have any significant experience with high horsepower cars. My wife went with me and had a great time at the resort while I was at the track. I've also done a Barber school at Sebring, and I believe they have a course using Vipers. Call me at 423/757-0423 if you want to know more. Ferber Tracy

Wonderful lady that must care a lot about you.
I received driver training from the SCCA, Sports Car Club of America, and it was relatively inexpensive. Had some specialized courses and then several slolam races and took a few trophies home. It was great fun. It was years ago; hope there's a chapter in your area.
