Default composite spring delamination

Had my 05 up on the hoist for an oil change. This is my first Corvette and I just got it a week ago. It only has 10000Kms on it.
My mechanic (independant) noticed that both the front and rear composite leaf springs are delaminating or splintering. Each one is only in an area about an inch long, so it's not huge.
Has anyone had and similar findings??

WTF?

The leaf spring is a solid piece bar in the rear.

The springs are a composite, fibers in a resin base.

Yeah but delaminating? Wouldn't it just split like snapping a pencil, or chip?

Time to get your car into a Chevrolet dealership (of your choice) & have a certified Corvette wrench do a thorough inspection, my friend.

Hopefully 100,000Km does not exceed 36,000 miles so if there is an issue the warrenty will cover you.

Yes 10,000 kms
ya we found two small spots one on the front the other on the rear,,, just looks like a small splintering like you would find on a wooden deck.
I'll get her in first thing next weekend.
Heading to Mosport for the big ALMS race so I'll be talking to some one in the Corvette corral when I get there.

Added a zero.
Must be an acronym for an affliction like this.
Say "AAZD" (Attention Added Zero-Deficit) or some-such.

This AAZD ever strikes while negotiating for a new Corvette & I'll break myself.
