Default Thinking about adding LG here in CA

I am thinking about adding a LG long tube headers on my C6 A6 however I have found out that in California, long tube headers are not allow and short tube header seems to be a waste of money. I am planning on either selling my C6 or trading it in on a Z06 in a couple of years. What are you guys in CA with long tube headers plan on doing when you are either selling or forced to do a smog check?

Lots of guys out there running LT headers..its all about the CARB stickers as I understand it...

Andy at A&A is out there..puts out modded cars all day long...

this guy http://forums.corvetteforum.com/member.php?u=14190 has a badazz Vette in Cali....no issues for him....

you need to ask around a bit

I have Am. racing headers and I'm not worring about a smog check for at least another 5 years! I think thats what it is for new cars.

My question is that if I put on headers then when I decide to sell the car in a couple of years, would I have to take them off to pass smog inspection or is there a way to get around this?

Keep the stock manifolds and then leave it up to the buyer to see if they want to go through the trouble of swapping out the exhaust. I will cross that bridge when it comes...until then, enjoy the ride!!!
