Well I just got my new disk, and all I can say is it still stinks. My street is over 5 years old and still not on it as well as about a dozen that I checked. So can anyone say what upgrades they have noticed. With such a great car you would think they could get a simple disk right
I got my Nav Disk 3.0 last month and I have been impressed with the improvements over Disk 2.0. Seems most of the places I have searched for have been listed.
Call GM Navigation Disc Center at 1-877-628-3472. It counts as one of your two free map updates if you have a 2006 or 2007. You'll have to pay if you have a 2005.
I have V3 and my 5 year old street and various others is not there either. Not sure what the improvements are as I seen nothing over the others unless some computer buff can enlighten me. I dont use it much so maybe I'm missing something.
The street I live on is also 5 years old. Orior to that time it was just woods. I worked for the local Fire/EMS department, and my street wasn't on any of the maps. If your street is not on a master map, it isn't going to show up on the navagation system. It's not GM's fault this time.

Can you imagine the monumental task of putting every new street, POI, etc. on the disck for the entire country and parts of Canada? Nearly an impossible task. You might contact Denso or whoever is providing the discs for GM to inform them of desired corrections.
I have the 3.0 version that I got in 4 days from the GM disc center after I called their toll-free number. Good service.
Check your map disc. It will have both the version number and a part number on the label. I don't have the version 3 disc part number BUT the version 2 disc has a part number of:15779679.
The part number shows on the left side of the label and the version number appears on the right side of the label.

If I had to guess the update discs won't address functionality like that but merely map data.
Actually I think the VR is a little better. I really don't use that feature that much. I've also had people ask me if such-and-such address is now on there and so far have been 0 for 4
One thing that IS a big improvement - the number of times it says "Continue driving straight" when you're on the interstate is now about 1/3 what it used to be . For that reason alone 3.0 was worth it (and I had to pay ).

I got the V3 NAV DVD in my 2007 C6 and it didn't have my street listed despite the street being 3+ years old. My Lexus DVD NAV system had the street update 2 years ago. I added my information on the following website (SUPPORT, MAP FEEDBACK) http://www.teleatlas.com/Pub/Home Of course, I'll have to wait for V4 to see it
Since I'm trying to get up to 500 miles, I took a 90 mile ride to Westminister, MD today and used the NAV to find Baughers Fruit Market/Restaurant. It knew about it and guided us right there. Great homemade pies for anyone in the area. http://www.baughers.com
