I can't answer that because I don't know oyour son. My son is now 26 with a good job as a bond trader, but when he was in high school my deal with him was he could drive the new FireBird to school (1.5 mile away) if he brought home straight A's. He did it & he drove it. From all reports & observations he was a good, cautious driver. No accidents except for a bent rim from driving over a curb while waving at a cute girl. h epaid for a new rim. Now he borrows tha Corvette occasionally and I get to drive his CTS-V. He is a more conservative driver than I am.

You know your son better than we do. That being said, prom night is a time of silliness in some area of the country. Good luck.

My father let me take his vette to my prom - but I'm his daughter not his son! (and yes, I drove my boyfriend - in my heels)

Does your insurance policy cover a young driver? In most parts of the country that can be very expensive, so parents do not include the youngsters.

No insurance, no driving to the prom.
