Went to start the Vette this morning........flat as a pancake. Since I park inside , I always leave the drivers window down about 5 inches in case this happens I wont have to injure the window indexing. Put my fast charger on it for two hours and installed the Priorty Start I bought last April. This really bugs me, I did check everything when I got the door open; the car was in reverse, steering wheel locked and emergency brake up. Nothing left on, V-1 was shut off, no other extrainious electrical attatchments of any kind.
I hope GM comes out with some kind of reprograming for these 2005's. I was thinking of buying a 2007 Z06, but who wants these 2005's with this reputation?
Bummed in Boston
As Les pointed out, there is now a computer reflash available for 2005 MN6 cars that should end the problem. Also note that GM warns that all accessories must be unplugged when leaving the car. Shutting them off and leaving them plugged in may, under certain conditions, still cause a drain.

Have you had the flash done, or is someone telling you there is one available? The reason I ask is, as of Friday I could not find anyone associated with the investigation of DBS at GM that knew anything about a reflash for DBS on 05 MN6 cars. They had a fix for the 06 On-Star and 06 A6, but not 05 MN6.
The window indexing doesn't prevent the door from opening with a dead battery and it doesn't damage anything in my experience. However you will not be able to close the door until the window is lowered. I'm the 5x DBS experienced user talking. I'm waiting for some feedback before taking mine in for the reflash.

Thank you Stan! I will call my dealer tomorrow and see what he says. Also interesting that the V-1 should be unplugged, not just shut off. Ray
I left the TSB/PI information by my dealer, and a week later no dice!
I never unplug my V1. That suggestion is just another aimless shot in the dark by GM!
