Default Delivery time

About how long does it take to get your car after you order it? Is waiting until the first of the year okay to get a '07? I'm thinking about the Museum Delivery.

I ordered my '07 on 09/27 and it's scheduled to be built the week of 10/16

I think SOP's usually 8 weeks, although it's often sooner barring unforseen circumstances.

For me the sooner the better, the damned model year goes too fast as it is.
In any event that question has to be answered by you.

Everyone says it's $400 well spent, a great experience.
I'll be doing it in 2009 for my next Corvette, guarenteed.

I'm sure it varies but when I ordered my C6 in late January of 2005, it was (supposedly) in production the next day and was delivered to Tucson, Arizona about 35 days later. It came so quick I actually questioned my car broker if he didn't just find the car I wanted at some out-of-state dealership. No...it was the car I ordered. Not that I'm complaining but it arrived so quickly it blew me away.

Obviously yours is not a 'vert. In the same time period, a 'vert took about 6 months from order to delivery.

with all of the above. Of course, if your dealer does not have allocation all bets are off. The clock doesn't actually begin ticking until your order gets "picked up" by the factory. If your dealer has immediate allocation, your order should get picked up next week Thursday. If not, it will sit indefinitely until your dealer gets allocation. Once your order is picked up, your car will be produced in 3 - 4 weeks and you should see it roughly 2 weeks later.

I ordered on Aug 4th, it was built on Sept 20th, and I'm picking it up on Oct 9th. NCM Delivery...

The build date was pushed two weeks (original build date was the week of Sept 4th). I think because of contraints??? And the museum delivery seemed to add about 3 weeks from the build date...

Oct 9th was the earliest date to receive the car BTW.

If your dealer is telling you Jan then he doesn't have allocations.

I bought from Les Stanford and could have gotten mine in about 6 weeks but ran into the summer shutdown period and a polished wheel constraint that pushed it back. They are still offering 5-6 week turn around after the order is accepted.

Plan on 2 1/2 weeks minimum from build date for NCM. It all depends on what day you want to pick it up and how early in the week its built. Mine was built on a Tuesday 9/26 and I wanted a Monday NCM delivery so 10/16 was the earliest possible.

If you can wait until January, you might as well wait until April when the weather is nicer in KY for pickup.

I'm one week from getting mine and getting more excited every day!!!! GOOD luck.

When you say 'ordered' what does that mean? When the dealer sent the order in or When GM accepted the order?

My coupe was built on 8/24 and I took delivery in San Jose CA on 9/17.
