Default Thoughts On Front?

I love the styling of the C6, don't get me wrong, but the only thing that bugs me is the front nose of the car is shaped to a point. It reminds me of a pontiac firebird . Anyone else have similar feelings or any front end mods w/pics out there? I would like to see a smooth flatter front like most sports cars.

Most sports cars don't have a drag coefficient of 0.28.

The flatter front end just provides more area that the oncomming air has to travel around or hit head on instead of having a more horizontal surface that the air can flow over easier.

The design of modern aircraft use the same laws of aerodynamics to shape the nose of a plane but in both the horizontal and vertical planes which yields a cone shape ending in a point.

Not only that, it looks cool too.

That was an awesome car, but I also loved the 82 Trans Am known as KITT from Knight Rider.

Your subconscious is trying to tell you that you're really a Silverado kind of guy!

Having had 7 F-bodies, I like the styling. The C6 nose is similar to the 94-97 Trans Am which is no bad thing. With the headlights, however, the front end looks nothing like the T/A. It looks like a 550 Maranello, and that's no bad thing, either.

Funny you say the C6 reminds you of a Firebird. The C5 reminded me of a Mazda RX-7.

I like the look.

I'm always receptive to looking at different options but I think the front of the C6 looks pretty nice....just the way it is.

I'm surprised that nobody's came out with a hidden headlight conversion, it seems the "hot setup" for any generation is just change to the opposite of what comes on the car from the factory.

How many pictures have you ever seen of the front nose of a jet fighter airplane? What kind of shape does it have? Why? 'Nuf said.

I'm a big fan of C3 styling and I see the lines of the semi-pointed C6 nose as C3 influenced.

The c6 is the first vette since the 67 that I really liked, no --loved, no---needed to own. Prior to it I was more than satisfied driving a plethora of F-bodies and Mustangs.

It doesn't bother me at all. Haven't Vettes had pointed front ends since 1968? It's not like it's something new.
