Valet???
Too many factors come into the equation.
Car damage, abuse, entry and or starting issues, dead battery, etc.
When I get my oil changed, I insist, that I be the one to drive My car into the bay. If not, I go elsewhere.
At hotels, I will walk the extra distance to register or unload.
Parking garages, I parked the car (when we were in San Francisco).
Not to mention, I had to wait to own a Vette in order to drive a Vette.
Do you really believe these people who are saying, "It's just a car" would react the same way if they found out their car was damaged, abused or raced? (So Mr. valet dude, what kind of times did you get here in the parking garage)? Yeah right!

I live behind the Embassy Suites in downtown San Diego, and the only parking they offer is valet. Let me tell you...these guys BEAT on those cars. I live close to the exit of the parking garage, and all day long, I see (and hear) them squeal the tires and PUNCH it as they leave the garage - it doesn't matter what kind of car it is. From Mercedes to generic SUV's, they drive those cars like they stole 'em.
I'm really temted to contact Embassy Suites about this particular situation.
I do the same thing. It's cool to walk out of the restaurant and have your car parked out front too.

And if they won't I'll go elsewhere or drive the Trailblazer instead.
