From: Austin, Texas Codes 660, 9448, and 295660 work in the C6 navigation unit. No DVD playback yet.
Guys, all it appears to do is operate as a remote switch for the "speed input" wire. You can install a switch on this wire yourself, and when you turn it off, your navigation system will think you're stopped.
It will confuse it, as it will get conflicting information from the speed sensor and the GPS sats, but you'll then be able to use full functionality. When you want to navigate again, flip the switch back on.

Has anyone had success with this mod? Especially on the '06 models?

Someone tried cutting the VSS wire and it didn't work. Link to thread.
Another theory was posed that the unit is using the GPS antenna to determine if car is in motion. Not sure how the antenna connects to the head unit. Can it be disconnected? If that works, could wire a toggle switch to it. Thanks.
I'm not sure I'm following the problem. I was down in NY and Ct over the weekend. Tune at Corvettes of Westchester, and ICS Corvette Dyno Day. Before leaving VT I entered the addresses into my Nav System then routed to them, after canceling the navigation they then show up as previous destinations. I can go to menu and hit enter destination, previous destination and it the gives me the three route guide options, all while driving at 45-50MPH. Has anyone else tried entering information this way rather than entering specific street and city info while driving?

Hey Shortski,
Hope you guys had a great ride home. It was fun meeting with you, I hope you get a chance to visit us here on LI before the weather gets cold.
Yes, I do the same thing you do. You can access previous destinations and route options while driving. I guess they are limiting you to a few quick inputs rather than typing in an address. It would be great if there was a tie in to the passenger seat sensor for the airbag allowing a passenger to find a nearby ATM, gas station, etc, or at least, a voice system that actually worked once in awhile (I know, I know, NY accent and all.....)
Well, the worst is you pull over for a minute. Since Chucks tune, there's a lot more fun from 0-60 anyway...
It appears that Grumpy has removed the site information. I would guess it is because they are not sponsors of the forum.
Grumpy, any help here? Did you remove the site because they are not forum vendors and a forum vendor carries the same product? (if so, who?) Or is there some sort of problem with that company or product?
Thanks in advance for your help Grumpy.
