Hello all. I'm your newest noobie. As you can tell from my screen name, I am VETLESS until 2008. I've owned a C5 in the past, as well as a 1992 Camaro RS 25th anniversary, a 2001 Firebird Formula 6spd, A 2002 Z28 A4, a 2004 CTS A5, and currently drive a 2006 Impala SS w/ the LS4. I'm looking to rejoin the Corvette ranks in a little over a year, and will be stepping up to C6 this time! I hope to learn a lot before then, and hope you guys will tolerate occasional questions from a member who is "VET LESS" .
Welcome....the Corvette Forum is a tremendous resource where many Corvette owners are willing to share their time, experience and expertise. There is also a tremendous database of information...one great information page is here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=927981
Some threads may be funny or sad or whatever but it's all good. You came to the right place to learn about Corvettes.
I've learned a ton of info here..Good bunch of people. I know how you feel, kind of. I was Vetteless for 2 months between my C5 and C6. It just made it that much better when the new one came in 3 weeks ago.
Use the search function (previously answered threads) if you have a question that may seem general. There are lot's of very informative answers there. Welcome!
It's a great place to get your questions answered whether you're Vetteful or Vetteless. However, you do need to be prepared for a little good natured ribbing now and then.
Thanks all! Even though I am Vetless...I've tried to keep up w/ the car, and like to think I'm somewhat informed on most of the basics (plus I've lurked for a while). I've been an enthusiast for 30 years, albiet a young one during the early years, ever since my dad bought his first one, a new '76. Hopefully I won't get flamed for asking too nooby of a question.
I'm pretty active in another forum that deals w/ all things automotive..current and future. There are quite a few very knowledgeable people there, both inside and outside of GM. If anything promising in regards to the Corvette comes up that is not here already, would this be the proper place for it?
Thanks again for the welcome. As my time gets closer, I'll keep you posted how the hunt is going
