Mine goes in tomorrow. Had nearly dead battery this A.M. and couldn't even start the car. It started and ran fine last night. Not DBS, but this is still my original delco.
They said they can download the flash for me.
Plus I still gotta do the roof.
And the rocking seat.
And the differential chatter...

I'm gonna mention the diff. chat. but I don't want to push my luck....one thing @ a time....
I had the flash done this week on my 2005 MN6. I gave the service writer the PI info from here and they didn't argue about it. I'll give an update after a couple months or earlier if I have a DBS with the new program.
I have seen nothing that says the reflash works. Just another "fix" that doesn't work.
My dealer says my roof is OK on both 2006s because they are not on the list of problem VINs. One was build in Aug 2005 and the other in Dec 2005........ If they can't get a simple thing like this straight, why do you think they can fix an electrical system issue.
They flashed me today but didn't give me a new battery!
They said that they load tested it, and it came out fine.
How should I press them for a new battery?
All I know is what I read here, and apparently the reflash causes the BCM to ignore certain shut down anomalies and let the darn thing go to sleep anyway. The flash is not recommended unless you've had DBS.
Your tune is in the ECU, the reflash concerns the BCM.
That's the answer I was looking for! It won't hurt a tune, right?

Most of what I know about these cars I've learned right here on the forum. So I don't actually know first hand. I'd ask one of the tuners on the tech or tune section.

I posed this question to my Vette tech at the dealership this morning and he said it would overlay the tune MTI has put on my car. I told him I had read the update was to the BCM and he said that it doing the update would also update the PCM. Check with someone you trust locally.
