1. searching LS2 emblem threads found nothing.
2. 1st Vettefest for me, many older vettes had emblems showing the engine "code", c6 doesn't, except this one at the show.
3. Naively assumed that we could open an adult discussion about emblems that indicate engine designation seen at a car show without opening an ugly thread about emblems that indicate car options.
IMO such an emblem is foolish. EVERY C6 ever made except the Z06s has an LS2. That is the problem IMO.
NO engine selections from the factory. One flavor fits all unless you get the much more expensive Z06.
I think the lack of factory provided engine and performance options has fueled the desire by many to make their cars 'special' with non stock special emblems.
IF and I repeat IF there were engine options from the factory then I'd be all in favor of special badges like the 327, 350, 396, 427 of old plus various fuel injected emblems etc. But ,IMO, putting LS2 on a C6 would be like putting 'ModelT' on a model T.
They are all the same. Even the mighty Z51 has an identical engine.
I think factory stock is good. I like clean lines. I think the Z06 emblem looks great with the special styling of that car AND it majorly ( learned that word from my teenagers ) belongs on the car!
I think an emblem 'V8' would make just about as much sense on a C6.
I think the lack of factory provided engine and performance options has fueled the desire by many to make their cars 'special' with non stock special emblems
Hey Grumpy, If I could lock my own thread at this point I would! This went no where close to where I had intended.
Why? You asked a question and your getting opinions. Take out all the people trying to stir the pot and your left with honest opinions about the badge.
Sometimes you have to look through the trees to see the forest.
