Can't believe all you guys with no tickets........I got Two my first month with my Yellow Vert both deserved I have been good since.....with the help of my detector
None in my vette so far, but I only have 1300 miles so far...I got one in my 06 yukon on my way home from college in Tennessee. I was going 84 in a 70 on the interstate. I was gonna flash my University ID at him, but I left it in the back of my yukon. Last time I got pulled over on my way to the campus and told him I was on my way back to college and flashed my Campus ID he let me off the hook.
I know I've got a ticket coming my way the way I've been driving my vette so far. It's so dang hard to drive the speed limit in these cars..there just so dang fast.
Pulled over 5 times for speeding in 1 year, 7 months of driving my C6. Talked my way out of 3, fought the other 2 and won. So, zero convictions & zero accidents on my record.
One for 52 in a 35 using antiquated timing device---white lines on the road and they time between enter point and exit. Actually was only going 42 but I guess the cop either made a mistake or he manipulated his use of it to show a higher speed--very easy to do and abuse. Long story short I appealed at the DJ leval and even the DJ was kind of surprised when the officer was not open to pleading down to 5 over, same fine but no points. So i was declared guilty and recieved 4 points as well. Arrogant young cop who enjoyed his stoppage of my c6. After the stop he even passed me at about 20 mph over to let me know he can do what he wants. Pottsville , Pa. city cop----hardly a city more like a pimple on the backside---first one in either vette and first one in many years but it was more about his need for a kill then anything else.
BTW, before some leo's respond that officers don't operate in that fashion--this one does.
Front plate, I keep waiting till the last day and then paying. Its a small town so they remember when they see you next time. Screw em. I think they might be starting to give up because one of the guys that has already pulled me came up a little ahead of me in the adjoining lane, looked at my bow, then he shook his head and kept driving.
I've paid 2 tickets since I was 18--both speeding. Beat 4 in court--all speeding, and one radar detector violation in VA. One was the minimum fine possible, as the judge had to side with the cop, but reduced it to $3 and $30 cost. The other I dealt with the DA to 5 over. Have been stopped about 12 times, including the 6 tickets. Other six, three Vietnam Veteran cops, 2 nice guys, one warning--because I lived in Merrimack, NH and he liked my neighborhood! Only had one d___k cop. And he never showed up in court. Too bad, I had a few surprises for him--which I think he knew. Tickets I should have got--why none, of course...
