For the 2nd time since i have had my 2007 C6 Convertable (Got it in early august) the car starts fine but i find that my radio station presets are gone. Whats up with that? My car came from the dealer with a priority start type of device on top of the battery and i am wondering if my battery is going dead and the only thing starting the car is this device.
What do you think could be happening. The car is 100% fine other than the radio presets gone. This happened again Friday and then i did not drive it saturday but i did Sunday and all info was retained.
What do you think could be happening...I am confused
Perhaps a defective radio(?) -- easily swapped for a functional unit by the dealer -- or a FOB mixup as mentioned, above.
But the trouble's probably not "DBS".
I have the lost presets problem also, and have heard that others have
too. As far as I know, it's not related to DBS (my car always starts -
no dead battery).

Same thing happened to me, and I agree with the previous posts...I was using two different FOB's. Took me a while to realize what I was doing.
Mine is not FOB-related (I have never used the second FOB - I don't
even remeber where I put it after putting the one I use now on my
keyring).
Many times with this car, odd electrical gremlins can be dispatched by rebooting the car. Disconnect the battery negative for 10 minutes or more, then reset anything that was lost, like window indexing. That's all I lose doing this.
well you have all already explained the presets one as yes i was using another FOB that day, i did not know that coused that to happen.
That however has nothign to do with the fact my car was dead as a doornail today for no reason. could not even open a door. Had to use the key and pop the trunk
