Default C6 Vert - Width (including mirrors)

Hi all,

I'm currently thinking about buying a C6 convertible. Anybody know how wide a C6 convertible is including mirrors? All of the specs I can find from GM and elsewhere just give the width excluding mirrors (72.6in/1844mm)...and I'd kind of like the mirrors to make it into my garage along with the rest of the car!

Thanks,
Gary

I don't have the measurement, but I can tell you that it will fit a standard "8 foot" single garage door. I have a 3 car garage, with a 16 foot double door and an 8 foot single door. The Corvette gets the single door side of the garage.

The vert and the coupe are supposedly the same width. I just measured my coupe and it's 82 inches from outside edge of mirror to outside edge of mirror.

If need be the mirrors can be folded in.

Will repeated folding and unfolding, like once a day, diminish the rigidity of the mirrors attachment during driving?

I'll find out as I do it every day when I put my C6 in the garage.

'06 coupe mirror-to-mirror = 82", if that helps.

Now, this is not on a Vette but it is a GM so maybe it is relevant. I have an '03 Silverado that I park daily in my garage, and every day the power fold mirrors go in so I can make it through the door. I've been living in the house about 30 months so that's about 2000 mirror fold cycles, give or take a few hundred. No issues yet, knock on wood.
