Leak?
I've got just a touch over 1000 miles on my car. Checked my oil just last night and it was perfect. Got in the car this morning, pulled out of the garage, forgot that I had left the garage light on so I exited the car and went back to turn off the garage light. Looked on the garage floor and right underneath the engine bay was some sort of liquid. Touched my finger to it and it felt like oil and also had a similar smell. The leak was approximately 3" wide x 6" long front to back in size so not a lot of liquid to be overly concerned about driving the car. The fluid appeared to be either clear or with a slight yellowish tinge to it.
The oil pressure was fine on the way to work and no warnings or codes. I would think this could only be either oil or power steering fluid as the tranny's out back. Am I correct in my assumption or could this be some other oil-like fluid?
I've read on here about the power steering hoses causing problems but I would think that they would have been using new hoses as my car was just built on 12/11.
I'll be lifting the car this afternoon but wanted to know if there is anything else I should check for.
I don't have any specific experience with leaks in the C6 but some common sense ideas.....I know it's hard to tell from the top side but can you see any other wet spots anywhere on the engine or accessories? Can you tell from the location of the spill approximately where in the engine bay it might be coming from (driver's or passenger's side)? After you drive it, park it in a 'clean' area to see if it's still leaking and more precisely where it's originating from.

Thanks for the tips guys. Will check all this out this afternoon when I lift the car and post my findings.
Wayne O: As far as I can remember it appears to be almost exact center under the engine. I know it is left to right but I'm not so sure if it is front to back.
Nothing to offer except my well wishes. I hope it turns out to be minor. The car is too new to be worrying about such things. Damn, 1,000 miles all ready. Have you taken Micah for a spin yet?

Found the culprit! A leaking power steering coolant return line...
Calling the dealer tomorrow.
Paul: Yeah, I had 928 miles on her when I pulled in my driveway returning from Bowling Green. Stopped by to see Micah on the way home and he wasn't even up for a ride. Said he had driven one that he used to detail for some guy there in Charleston. Oh well.
