Default ['05 vert] sticking gas door

I tried a forum search to no avail... anyone suffered a sticking gas door? This seems to happen only when the ambient temp is below 45 degrees F. My car is an 05 vert with 15K miles.

I don't know about the temperature affecting it or not but it might need a new actuator 'thing-a-ma-bob.'

Oh, yeah... THAT "dealie".
I was going to try some molyexpensium atuating fluid on it first. I forgot the door is investment cast of carbonized unobtanium.

It's only happened to me once, and never repeated. In my case the temps were in the 60's but early morning. It has never come back so not sure if this helps or not.

I have the same problem. Of course, when I take the car in for service, it works fine.

Paul
Paul, thanks and happy new year.
It has only happened to me a few times here in Houston... every time the weather has been a cold (to us) 30-45 degrees. Today, it took about 10 clicks of the button and some light tapping on the door to open it.

FWIW, the release button can be heard activating.
