....for no front plate....the cop was cool....said she loved the car but they're having a big problem with vettes since there's no spot for a front plate....I told her I didn't want to drill holes on the bumper ...she understood but said I still need to have one....been pulled over twice before and no mention of the front plate at all....
Makes me glad I was able to keep a couple of the old "green" plates: one for the Corvette and the other for the 65 El Camino!
Hey Silver05GTO, glad to see another local western MA neighbor here

If you see a VY with comp gray wheels around, it's probably me.
A little OT but do either of you western MA guys meet up with other vette owners in the area from time to time? If not I'd be in for a monthly meet at a local resturant just to chat vettes and get some good food...........I always look for excuses to eat out
I previously tried a forum search to no avail using "Top Flight Productions". I retried just "Top Flight" and found what I was looking for. The problem turned out to be the name...it's Top Flight Reproductions!! Thanx.

Just install the plate under the front end of the car! If they want to see it, they can crawl on the gound and look at it! Just kidding. You are always welcome to come down here to SC. No license plate laws or emissions testing.
Have never run a front plate on any vehicle I've owned and don't intend to either........ been stopped a few times but never a citation. Oh did I mention I was a state LEO for 20 years.....
The heck with them, I am not drilling holes in my car period! I bought it new in Texas and it should have come with the plate mount already on it if they think it should have a front plate
I just realized looking at my license plate what he did. He cut the plate so just the characters showed and removed the rest of it. Very slick, nice euro cut job and off I go to the NCM online store and buy the frame they sell that fits those hacked plates.....:

Installs in minute
No holes to drill - You use the 3 screws already installed on the front air dam.
Doesn't block radiator air flow
Allows front plate display in two plate states*
*Please note that Clean Fascia is mounted so low on the front of the C6 it may not meet inspection requirements in some states.
Offered exclusively at the National Corvette Museum
I forgot to mention, I keep my plate tucked between the propshaft hump and seat in the event I get stopped I can put it on the dash and say look it was there the whole time :-)

To be quite honest I haven't had much time for anything the past year-and -a-half or so with all the home renovation projects (both bathrooms, kitchen, one bedroom, new oversized 28x36 2-car garage). But, another Forum member from CT directed me to the Corvettes of the Berkshire up in Pittsfield, MA but I haven't had a chance to make it to one of their meetings. Looks like they are fairly active with several events every year. I'm open to a get together too.
Well it was my turn to get pulled over for no Front Plate...Traveling east on Hwy 70 about 75 miles from St Louis heading home. I come around a curve doing 69 MPH....yes 69 when I spot a Missouri State Trooper. He just left someone go. He pulled out with his lights on and then turns them off. I pass him and wave to him and before you know it I gegt hit with the blue lights. WTF....he walks up and I said excue me trooper what did I do wrong...I was only doing 69 and he said sir you don't have a front plate. I explained to him about the sticky tape and the plate is in the rear. He then proceeds to say " Really Nice car you have here" He is all smiles... I know then he wanted to looked it over real good. He then takes my DL, Insurance card and runs my DL. He comes back and said when you can please put it back on. I then start up the car and he said where is the key sir...I smiled back and sir there is no key for it...I went on to explain it to him...He said let me hear some exhaust <B&B Bullets> I left full of smiles.....
