Very eloquent and well put...He just sent me this ridiculous email here is a snippet from it
M3 just ain't a dragster. Where it shines is in the twisties. On a road course they have no problem hanging with a Vette. That is why the suspension felt so stiff when you test drove one, they are set up to corner HARD.
If you want to check out some serious racing videos, go to www.streetfire.net and do a search. There is some wild stuff on there.
Oh, and saw some HP numbers from my turbo setup. 625HP to the wheels or basically the engine is making 780HP
(there is a 20% loss through an automatic tranny)Did you look at those mods I sent you? That exhaust setup I linked you was a killer deal if you want to go that route. The Corsa, Borla, and Magnaflow are all like $1300+ and that doesn't even include headers which would be another $900+. Man, Corvettes ain't cheap to modify! Best bang for you buck is gonna be a Predator tuner.
This is the crap I have to put up with can you say Jealous
Any suggestions or ammunition I can use would be helpful, see you all on the road

This continues to be a riot! Stock vs Stock, the SRT8 does have the edge. BUT...the great feature of the TBSS is that all of the mods available to the C6 are available for the TBSS. Add a CAI, headers, HSRK, and a tune and you'll spank the SRT8 all day long.If you peruse the SRT8 forum, you will read all about this complaint. There just aren't that many easy mods that are available for the SRT8.
I just don't understand the "sibling" rivalry. The TBSS is a CHEVY with an LS2 engine. It may be the fat, ugly sibling, but it's still part of the "family."
Really no need to work on the handling. My truck already has the Corvette brakes (60-0 in 115 feet) (The Vette does it in 114.57 feet), and it pulls 0.83G's in the slalom (0.96 for the Z51). Will outhandle most cars as is, and really the only option to improve on that is to lower it which I think looks really ghetto, plus then the ride suffers greatly.
Someone please let me send him info to shut him up but in a nice way.

Where is he getting his TBSS data? Test results that I have been able to find do not support his claims. 60-0 in 120 feet, not 115. .80G's, not .83G's. It does not have Corvette brakes, it has Corvette specification brake PADS, meaning the pads are made of the same material.

I guess his wife said no to a Corvette but wanted a station wagon instead. Ask him to turn in his man card.

The brakes aren't bad, but it has significant body roll and understeer when compared to sports cars. Lowering the truck about 2" with adjustable coil-overs and replacing the tiny rear sway with one that balances the front improves body roll and the understeer.
Speaking as an owner of both a C6 and a TBSS, the TBSS is a really quick, fun SUV. But...it is nowhere close in performance to the C6.
Most members of the Trailblazer forums respect and revere the Corvette.
I have the 2WD version, and stock with a dyno tune it made 324Hp or so to the wheels. Can't remember the torque number but it wasn't bad either. It still weighs 4400 lbs. It's gas mileage blows because of that 4.10 gear. Even a tune didn't help it that much. I'm lucky to see 19MPG on the highway. I still love it as a hauler. It's mucho fun to go to Home Depot, Lowes, etc in that truck.
If you visit the trailblazerss forum, there are some folks that have very low 12s trucks. Most guys that mod have transmission failures. That's been the biggest problem. With just light mods, a TBSS is a very fast SUV.
My wife loves that truck, and even tried to pull one over on me one day at a light. No contest.
I have read that the TB with the mods has lead to transmission failures and I would figure slamming a turbo on it will probably end up with the same result.
By the way what numbers can I expect at the track for an 05 automatic Z-51 just curious.
If you are really into proving your car is faster (which I think there is nothing wrong with), then you just gotta go do it. Talking about what car is faster is like talking about what college football team is the best. Without a real race (or playoff in football) it is just wasted talk.

I would laugh my *** off if he blew his tranny after installing his turbo.

My wife also loves it!

Maybe you should just meet him at the track and be done with it.
