Default Does your steering wheel rumble?

Ok, I might be overly paranoid about this, but I've noticed something. But first, let me say that it all started when my wife's xB started having issues. Her steering wheel vibrates like a sex toy when going 75-80MPH and at first I thought it had to do with her wheels and the centering rings, so I had it checked out and they use some American Racing centering hub kit, but the rattle is still there when going above 75 on the highway. Anyways, I'm now thinking her shimmy is caused by damage to the tires before the new centering kit was installed, causing her tires to go out of round or whatever.

So anyways, I've now started to notice that in the Corvette, when I'm on the highway going 75-80MPH that the steering wheel vibrates some as well. It's nothing like in the xB at high speeds, but it's noticeable. I do have aftermarket wheels on it, that were put on in the last month so it could be a similar issue I might have to get checked out for the same reasons, but I'm wondering if I'm just being overly paranoid becuase of what is going on with her xB.

I honestly can't remember how the car felt with the factory wheels, or if it always had a slight rumble to it. I know whenever it's sitting idle, the whole car tends to have a bit of rumble to it just becuase the engine is a beast, so I'm thinking it's nothing, but I want to be sure.

Do any of you ever notice a slight rumble to the steering or should it be totally smooth?

I'd hate to have to have the wheels looked at AGAIN and find out that I need some kind of centering kit or whatever, on top of the fact I'm still having issues with getting the TPS back in there...

PITA!

I'd have your tires, wheels and alignment checked-out ASAP. I don't have any steering wheel vibration on my C6.
