Default Order to Delivery Time ??

What's the average length of time it takes from placing an order to delivery? Does it vary according to the time of year ?

Average time is meaningless. It's all dependent on when the dealer has an allocation. If he has an allocation within 3-7 days after you place your order, it will probably take about 6 weeks to get your C6.

Probably fewer orders in the winter, but the plant also takes off for Christmas vacation in the winter. Will make some difference, but not a whole lot.

If you placed your order with a low volume (for Corvettes) dealer, it could be a few months before they get an allocation. Your dealer should be able to tell you when they expect their next allocation and if you are the first in line for it.

order time depends on dealer allocation. my first car was ordered/built within 3 weeks. second on was ordered dec. 3, built jan. 3 (due to plant shut down from 12/22 till 1/2). second build came off the line jan.3@ 10:40am and was delivered to dealer jan. 4 @ 5:30 pm. yes, i said 30 hours later!!!!

Need to ask your dealer when their allocation for the build date is. When I ordered mine they gave me the build date. From build date its usually 2-3 weeks.

I spoke to a local dealer yesterday trying to get a quote close to what I got here on the forum and he told me there may be some delays if you order a car with the polished aluminum wheels. Not sure why but something is going on apparently

It was 2 1/2 months from the initial order to my sitting in the Corvette this last year. The transport time was only 2 days and that was the best part since by that time, I was really climbing the walls for my car. Polished wheels have been the "Hollywood Star in Rehab" story. The wheels have been on constraint (not available for the car at a certain time) and then available. This cycle has gone on like stars in and out of rehab all fall long.
