I see that the new Viper introduced at the North American Auto Show, will have 600 hp standard. Are they trying to out power Corvette? Now it's Corvette's turn to outdo Viper again, not only in handling but in raw power too. Am I right?

Yes you're essentially correct. I'm still a Corvette Guy but I admire the new Viper.....it has a vastly re-designed powerplant and puts-out something like 560 ft lb of torque. A big plus IMO is it's done with a naturally-aspirated engine. Make no mistake....the new Viper is a beast! But as always, Corvette will up the ante. You know...the 'space race' syndrome.
