I'm no great fan of the wagon wheels either, but they were among the first of the 5 spoke wheels, no?

Yes...the A Molds (aka: ZR1 style) were probably the first.

You think so? The current ('05-'07) base wheels have a thick, strong looking spoke, very beefy looking IMO.

sorry, but every Corvette wheel Ive seen(that looked good) has been derivative of many other wheel designs.

Hey bud,

Nobody is pointing a gun to your head to buy those replica Z06 wheels, so get off it. Look around you and you will find tons of good Chinese products. There are so many items, it is almost suffocating you isn't it?

Don't hear any of us commenting on the crappy American cars being produced and their lack of quality and innovation. Oh yeah, GM and Ford are in trouble because they produce superior quality.

Btw, I am not a hypocrite, Americans can make awesome trucks and corvettes. I own a Ram Quad cab also.

The new Jaguar XK8R has wheels that are almost identical. I actually like them.

Not for me either-they remind me of the "Sport" wheels I have for my CTS in the winter that were part of a wheel/tire package from Tire Rack. OK for that application, but not for a C6. I agree with the 'change for the sake of change' comment.

Speaking of which, I almost had one of the new kids at the local tire store convinced that if the emblem on the centr cap didn't line up with the valve stem, it would create high speed wheel wobble.

I prefer something a bit more aggressive for my car.
