JL Audio is a great amp. In my prior C5, I had a 300 watt JL Audio mono amp for my 12" speaker (back well) and another 300 watt JL Audio amp for all 4 factory Bose speakers plus I added 4 additional tweeters - 1 on top of each door speaker and 1 on each side of the A-pillars. The system was absolutely awesome and sounded clear with the top down on the highway. I plan on adding tweeters on my '06 in the A-pillar again since it bounces sound off the windshield with extreme clarity.

The sound is top notch, as with all JL products. Yes, the top stores in it's factory location without any modifications. The enclosure was desiged with that in mind.
