Default headers

I am looking to get headers soon on my c6.
Provided the shop has them in stock,is this something I can wait around for?
I mean not leaving the car ,I mean hangin around while it is worked on.I have been told horse power sales in Boca does this work.

If he knows what he is doing, about a 3 hour install, give or take.

If you haven't already, do some research and decide which brand you want. Do a search there are plenty of threads discussing the most popular brands of headers for the C6.

Ask the shop but I'm guessing it would take about a half-day or less to install. If you're having them coated, they will likely have to send them out to be coated first (which would take a couple of days) but the same install time once they have the headers there and ready to go.

Default dont waste $$$$

If you are doing headers you need the full system all the way back, CAI, 160 thermostat and get a tune. Install with a tune is about 7 hours and that will wake the car up and gain a few more HP at the same time. If only doing headers you will get a gain but not the full potential and you will be back soon enough to get the rest done with a tune and spending even more than if done all at the same time.

Why 160 thermostat. would't the computer think the engine is too cold?

Long tube or short tube? what are the bennies and problems?

Default nope

Been there and done that and most quality tuners recommend 160 thermo so the mean temp maintained is 180F. Gives a better power curve.
