Can the fender wheel well splash guard from a Z06 fit the stock C6 coupe wheel openings? Seems like that's the way to go if it works! Need Your Input.....thanks:

Good question Ed, I just asked the same question back in the original thread. Maybe if their thread is back on top, then they'll see it and respond.

Yeah, I also used the above excellent thread as a guide. What a great forum for help on projects like this!

In addition to the tape, I also did a couple of other things for attachment/sealing. When ordering the flaps, I also got some of those push-pins from GM (most auto parts stores have a selection too). After I had the flap in place, I drilled and installed a couple of these pins about half way up the inside edge of the flap (attach to the inner fender). Because the flap doesn't lay perfectly flat on the inner fender, I anticipated this would be a place that road crap would accumulate and bleed out, so I laid a bead of clear silicone in there. Just inside the inside edge of the flap, top to bottom. I did this before inserting the pins, but after drilling.

This extra stuff may not be necessary for a long-lasting install, but heck, it couldn't hurt either....

As far as durability, it's held up well for the 2 months they've been on. Sadly though, the vette's been in winter lay-up since Nov, so I guess it may be a little early to say for sure. Spring can't come soon enough!

Hi All,

Just to let you know I sell them as well. You'll need a pack of 10 retainers to go with those. Just go to the site at www.gmpartshouse.com. Click where it says click here to enter part number search. Use part numbers 15818636, 15818637 and 11519444 x10 for the retainers under Chevrolet make.

Thanks,
Gene

Also if you go this route, I sell just my front splash guards since the Z06 don't work in the front and the front gets the worst damage.LINK
