Went to the dealer today for some things and asked about a price for tinting my windows. He told me $269.00 which seemed awfully steep.
Anyway, the salesman said that they cut the tint in order to avoid the small bubbles near the roof on the rear glass. I thought this might look a bit odd. I had my C% windows tinted and they went right over those factory window bubbles. There were some areas where the tint was visibly not stuck to the glass but it did not look too bad.
Did you have the whole rear glass tinted and about what proice did you pay for all three windows.
I paid $180 and he tinted over the dots. I had asked him if they would be a problem and he said sometimes they can be. He suggested waiting a few weeks to make sure the tint dried all the way, and if I didn't like how it turned out, he would cut that part off and go over it with black vinyl for $30. I think it's fine and left it as is.

A1 Performance window tinting in Ventura. I could have gone to a local shop, but I had just gotten my car, along with the paranoia that comes with it, so I wanted to find a place someone had already been to. My boss has a couple cars done there so that's why I chose them. It's a small husband and wife business. Nice guy, and he did a good job.
$230 for the dealer to do it, which I thought was very high. They did the dots and I did what a previous installer told me. I let it warm in the sun and pressed the tint to the dots with my fingers and a towel every few days for the first couple of weeks. Looks fine now, a year later.
Mine was about $250 but they used FormulaOne Pinnacle Series film that won't interfer with the navigation system and it costs more than typical film. They placed it over the dots (no sanding either) on the rear window and it looks fine. They did a good job applying the film and after a few days in the Nevada sun, any air bubbles or problems around the dots were gone.

Paid $150 in Augusta, GA for both windows and hatch on C6 Coupe. Same as FastSkyLine said, it wasn't perfect around the dots, but you had to get "real close" to see it.
$269.00 seems a little high. I'm having my windows tinted this coming week at the dealership. They quoted $175.00. I called the company that does the window tinting for the dealership and their (direct) price was $165.00. For a $10 difference I'll have the work done at the dealership....it's a more convenient location and better control of my car....no chance some window tinter will need to test drive my car.
The tinting company has experience tinting Corvette windows. They do a 1-piece installation on the back window and lightly sand the matrix dots prior to laying-in the film.
I had the rear window done with one piece for $125. Looks great!!
did you have any dot problems. I just had mine done, 1 piece computer cut for 125.00 took about an hour to do while i waited. By the time i got home, big time whitish/silver area around the perimeter (dots) and at the top of the glass where all the black dots are. She said it would go away as it dried but i am skeptical.... advise anyone...
