I have had my 07 3lt C6 now for about 2 months. I noticed as I was cleaning the car the paint seam on the back decklit of the car looks like the paint is starting to flake. It is the portion of the decklit that curls to the underside of the rear decklid. Is anyone having this issue? or has anyone actually looked at the seam?
I'm not exactly sure where your problem is but my 2005 Magnetic Red Metallic II has no real paint issues....excellent quality IMO. Maybe it's due to it being a premium color but I have extremely minimal orange peel and no paint chipping-away anywhere (save for a couple of self-inflicted scratches along the rocker panels and wheel wells).
As mentioned, post some pics if possible and I'd certainly bring it to the attention of your dealership.
I have not noticed any problems, but I have noticed that the paint seems to be very "soft" and easy to leave scratches. You have to be very careful taking things in and out of the trunk. It seems the slightest drag of anything that is not extremely soft across the paint will leave marks. I've had the issue on my C5 as well. Luckily, I have been able to remove the scratches with some wax and elbow grease.
I had what I thought was this same exact problem. It looked like I had some paint peeling off on my rear deck lid. It turns out that it was the plastic the car was wrapped in and the dealer had not gotten all of it off. I don't know what color car you have, but mine is white. The plastic was white also, so it looked like the paint was peeling. I would check that and see, if I were you.
