I live in an area where a C6 driver is very unlikely to see another C6 on the road much less one in his color. Z06 sightings are about as frequent as meteors. So I would bet that a base C6 or Z06 would turn heads just as well as this car. Now in Miami or LA , of course, that would not hold true.
I don't care for the exterior but agree that a different color might make all the difference.
The 'tone' of the marketing promo is, IMO, just dripping with "exclusive". There are very few places where such additional power could be used safely anyway. I think it's mostly about having a car, note the choice of wording, "commissioned" for you. If I had that kind of money for a car I'd rather spend it on the new upcoming Chevy super vette though I expect it may cost even more at least initially.
I expect this car is a thoroughly engineered ultra fine performance car just not for everyone. And I don't think it's just about money. Speaking for myself I doubt I could handle such a machine. I'm not trying to be self deprecatory just honest and realistic. A guy would have to be a genuine fearless dude to master this machine....just my opinion anyway.
I'll just stick with my lowly 400 hp. ( hey, that's a lot ) and dream of possible ownership of the fantastic top vette of all time-the Z06.
I agree that it is a pig-ugly design, at least from the pics I've seen. Perhaps it looks better in person, but there's no way it would get my money. Mr. Calloway must be laughing all the way to the bank. Never really cared much for anything that had his brand on it, but I guess there's 'one' born every minute.
Yes, kinda like people who have never actually OWNED one of his products nor can they even spell his last name, but can form an opinion based on..... You bring so much credibility to the conversation.
Someone please tell me WHY oh WHY did they not change the wheels from Z06 style. If you're going to make a car this exclusive, it should have exclusive EVERYTHING.

Here it is with its carbon fiber & magnesium wheels.
Corvette magazine had an interesting write up on this vette. One of the things they brought up is that you can't modify the LS7 like you can the LS2. They said the LS2 has more potential and is a stronger engine. I wonder if that's really true.

I like it a lot. Since I am here in Germany I might take a trip to the factory before I have to go back state side. I think it would be pretty interesting.
You'd be surprised what people on this board can afford....just because we bought a vette doesn't mean it's the ceiling on what we can afford.
I don't care much for it, but it'll probably bring upwards of 1/2 mil at Barrett- Jackson in 20 years.
I'll just say youre a very rare exception to the rule. Ive been here a long time and history has shown me, the number of people that can actually afford a $130-150k car is a lot less than those who ACT like they can.
Well since no one in this thread has enough cash to buy one, I doubt Callaway is too worried about it.
I personally think its freakin Awesome.
Quite a wrong assumption there, bro. *
But I'll add my opinion too: I don't much care for the looks, cost being high or negligible to me. I, too, would spend my dollars in another fashion. However, there are many who LIKE the way it looks and that's what makes up "sales".
*And btw, if you're gonna criticize people for how they spell on any forum, you'll be wasting a lotta your valuable time and typing.

So far Ive seen one guy in this thread would can plunk down the cash for one w/o it hurting. No one else has the stable to back that claim up. Chances are if you can afford a hundred thousand dollar car, you already have one. So I'll stand by that statement for now.
With regard to the spelling...acting like you know Callaway and then spelling the name with a "O" would be the equivilant to being a Camero expert

Agreed.......& those that act like they can are the first ones to tell you what a waste of money said automobile is.
Usually goes something like this..."Why pay 30k more for a Z06 when you can just mod a standard C6 to be faster for way less money"
Heck, we have an 89 Mustang that runs low to mid 9's, why'd I waste money on a vette.....Ah well, silly me.
