For the first time from my baby ... had to take her in for warranty service (rear seal leak; shuddering in reverse). Think she knew where she was headed ... threw a "Check Gas Gap" DIC message for the first time while on the way to dealership!! I'm sure all will be fine, but I can only think of the horror stories posted here by others ...
I know your pain, had mine at LPE for what seemed forever. I had to take mine to dealership today for state inspection, emmisions, oil change and on star digital upgrade. I stayed with it all the time and they even allowed me to wipe it down underneath while it was on the lift. They treated it as well as I would have and even declined to take it for a road test as required for inspection. Very pleased with dealership.
I feel your pain. Mine has been in the shop for 9 days and I'm still waiting...right tank fuel sensor. I'm currently driving GM's Malibu (rental...piece of crap) while I await the return of my '07 Coupe.
My experience (with both cars) leaves me concerned about GM's future...or lack thereof
On the other hand, I think my car looks great! And it's fun to drive when I can drive it.

I imagine everything will workout fine but I hope you installed your jacking pucks prior to taking it in.
My suggestion with a dealership....besides having a good relationship with a decent service advisor you can work-well with, introduce yourself to the actual shop manager. Like a Sergeant in the Army, the shop manager is the focal point of communication and the one best to truly know what's happening to your car.

My dealer replaced my right fuel sensor but I think it was just the seal that was bad.. 2 hrs total.
So far, so good. Service writer called with update on differential work. To their credit, instead of doing the fluid change for rear end grinding, they preemptively decided to replace clutch packs. Should be ready tomorrow this time. If all is well, will let others know where to take their car. If not, watch for me on the 6:00 news!!
One/two day service turned in to three when the seal they need didn't arrive Thursday. Anyone who has seen weather on East Coast want to guess when my car was ready? That's right, when the rain was turning to sleet turning to snow! Didn't want to leave in there where it would be outside in the elements, and driving it home tomorrow would be even worse after road crews splash sand/salt over every paved surface in the state tonight. Finally home but she's a total mess.
On a positive, am very happy with the quality of work Koons Chevrolet vette technician, Joe, provided. In the long run I know that I'll be happy Joe took the time to do the job right ... and car ran like a champ on the way home.

Glad to hear another happy ending. Probably the right choice to bring her home with this weather coming in.
When you get the car back, look very carefully under the car. Look for floorboard and rocker panel damage. Your average Chebby dealer hasn't a clue about how to put a C5/C6 Vette on a lift and will destroy the panels.

I had the clutch packs replaced on mine like 6000miles ago,and it is still perfect!
