Does your visor hang down this low?
Ever since the dealership replaced my roof, both my visors hang down at an odd angle. In the photo named "LowVisor" you see how it looks when not engaged in the holding bracket. It's supposed to be horizontal I think, but it's not.
Look at "VisorDown", specifically the round housing where the iron shaft enters, and notice that the plastic ring is flush with the housing.
Now look at "VisorUp", the visor is engaged in the holding bracket, and the plastic ring is NOT flush with the housing.
When I move the visor up and down the whole housing is pretty loose, it's supposed to be tight against the fabric of the headliner, but it's not. Looks like the dealership didn't reinstall the visors correctly. How are the visors removed? I need to take them off to see what's causing the misalignment.
Thanks,

I don't see any pictures but when my roof was replaced they didn't touch the visors. I gave them the roof and picked it a week later. Good luck.

Sorry guys, here they are. :o :bb
The names of the photos are not shown for some reason, but I think you can see clearly what I'm referring to.

Look at the damage to the clearance hole for the visor shaft. It's no wonder the visor is hanging down. Take it back to the dealer, show him the damage, the result and demand a replacement.

It definitely looks a bit limp to me. Take it back....it shouldn't take a rocket scientist to see that's messed-up.

I do believe that is a Z06. First step in Painted Roof Adhesive Separation procedure is:
Quote:
Remove the driver and passenger side sun visor and sun visor clamp.
The technician really messed that up. Make them replace it.

I'm sure this should have been apparent. Ask them if they do these things blindfolded.

Viagra's some tricky stuff, Ken.
Tried it once, but the pill got stuck in my throat.
I've had a stiff neck ever since.

Yep, time to find another dealer. I've no choice now, since I moved 150 miles away from the first dealer.

The dealer screwed up your visors...take it back and tell them to fix it correctly.
Geez, you would think someone would check out the work before they gave it back to you.
Good luck!

somebody screwed up...take it back, and remember squeeky wheel gets the oil.
I had a NIGHTMARE dealer situation last fall, where the dealer painted part of my car with out prior notifcation or approval.
I won't go there, but most dealers (not all) are incapable of respecting customers cars.
good luck.
