Default Pedal adjustments

I am strongly considering trading up to a C6 and finally test drove one last Friday to find that there is definitely less leg room than my C5. I had the seat all the way back and the telescopic steering all the way out and still my knee was hitting the steering wheel (I'm 6'5") a problem I don't have in mine. The sales guy said there is no adjustment to the pedals but I thought I check to see if anyone one out there knows something he doesn't. I had a motor cycle accident a few years ago that left my right leg weakened so having room to get fromt gas to break is an obvious concern and a major factor in my decision. I drove it fine on the test drive but have concerns about this situation under aggressive driving conditions.

Just checking to make sure you had the seat lowered to its lowest position.
At 6'1" I fit snuggly into the cockpit of my C6 but a big guy like yourself at 6'5" would be snugger, yet.

This is one of the rare times where a salesguy is correct, the pedals are fixed.
But again the seat goes down and if one isn't aware of that the interior space c/would be awfully cramped.

If it drove "OK" on the test drive I'd guess it'd all depend on what you meant by, "aggressive driving" &/or your expectation(s).

I'm also 6'5" (36" inseam) and have an '07 w/ 3LT. It took me a week to find the optimum setting for the seat and steering wheel placement. Also, I find when I wear my dress shoes for work (they have a bigger heal) I have more of an issue than when I wear casual shoes.

I have mine set like this: seat all the way back, reclined one notch up from all the way back; seat bottom fully down in the rear and slightly up in the front; telescoping wheel all they way out; tilt wheel one notch down from fully up - which felt up too high at first but I got used to it.

Now, my only problem is the dead pedal is too close to me and a bit too wide for me to stretch my leg out on the pedal or to slide my foot between the DP and clutch pedal. I'll be removing the dead pedal to modify it this weekend.

I do the same thing in my C5 including having the tilt wheel a little higher than I would have liked but I got used to it. I thought I had the seat back all the way but I'm not sure about the adjustments down. I think I'll need to go test drive one more time and really play with the seat position to make my decision.

ttt - anyone know if he could have a custom shop of some kind modify the actual brake pedal to be closer to the floor?
